–Independent Producing–
There’s nothing more satisfying than watching a comedian bring the house down on an electric audience. This workshop will not teach you about that. Instead, you’ll learn everything that leads up to that moment. Producing. This workshop will teach you the ins and outs of the logistical planning of your show!
In this workshop you’ll get the step by step process on producing your own shows including:
*How to plan the logistics of your show.
*How to choose a venue
*How much to pay your acts
*Advertising
*Budgeting
Your Instructor:
Mike Hammond has been performing and producing comedy for 2 decades. In that time he has performed at clubs and venues all over Canada, was a cast member for the Winnipeg Improv Festival, and is featured on the Just for Laughs Originals album, “Infinity Plus Pizza.” As a producer, Mike has produced for Stanley Braxton Improv Co. (10 years) including 3 years of the Braxton Comedy Festival, has worked with Artistic Fraud of Newfoundland Theatre Company, as well as produced his debut comedy album, “Person of Weight” and his one-person show, “Big Dumb Circus Bear.”
